OK, that's enough angst for one day
Dec. 17th, 2002 05:33 pmBoy, the wonders of the Internet, eh? I guess I'll go back to some nice boring work-related posts now. (Anyone who's at all confused by this should head on over to
crankygrrl's journal and check out the exchange over there... however I suspect my fan base just isn't that big, so I'm not worried. Hi out there.)
Spent the afternoon mindlessly playing with the new PO database. I suspect I am going to get much, much more familiar with this company's accounting practices than I ever wanted to be. I'm not sure whether I'm happy about this. On the other hand I already found a mystery $714.61 charge for narration that shouldn't be there on one of my projects. Hm. Will try to shovel that back wherever it belongs.
I gotta get out of here. Well, first I gotta tick off at least a couple of the things on my to-do list for today (remember when I was bored? that time is just looking better all the time).
Oh look, all I have left are meeting minutes! Cool.
Call with client for new project today. She's a bit hyper and a tad flaky, but very nice, and had rave reviews for all of us, which makes a nice change! I'm feeling a lot more comfortable with the project now... the preliminary "I don't know what the HELL is going on!" feelings I always suffer at the start of a new project are passing finally (which is good, because there's not a whole helluva lot of time left). All I need's an artist (hope we can do this with cartoons instead of photos b/c that would be a LOT simpler, and probably cheaper).
Put out my call for volunteer narrators and got responses, yay! Need to book studio for the week we come back. (Elly adds another item to her To-Do list. This is so helpful.)
Booked QA for the original Demon Project from Hell, which is going quite well... assuming the freelancer is OK and hasn't messed anything up (he's very nice but there is a definite language barrier so we occasionally have trouble. still).
So all is well...
