Nov. 18th, 2003 04:46 pmStupid transit strike.
There was a cheery thought in today's paper to the effect of "since there's SOME service, and workers are being paid for 6 hours a day, there's no real incentive to get this settled quickly." Great. Fabulous.
Bus and metro hours are:
5:30 a.m. - 9 a.m.
3 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
11 p.m. - 1 a.m.
No weekend service. If you're a shift worker, screw you! Also, I've heard tell of people getting dumped off the bus in the middle of nowhere (OK, Lachine) when the time's up. Guess I was lucky last night, I caught the 6:20 bus but the nice driver went all the way to my end of town even though it was afer 6:30 by the time we got there.
Hopefully it will motivate me to get up earlier in the mornings, but it hasn't worked so far...
