Jan. 22nd, 2004 06:10 pmToday, I threw stuff out. Specifically, 3 1/2 boxes and a filing cabinet worth of old scripts, storyboards, emails, invoices, to-do lists and beta CDs that belonged to Alex, who left here more than a year ago and apparently never got rid of ANYTHING. Also a couple of items belonging to me -- I try to hang onto references and client comments if there's a chance a project will come back.
Salvageable documents in the lot, not counting the above references and client comments on 3 projects, came to about an inch thick -- mostly signed NDAs and contracts and suchlike, which knowing this place nobody else has on file anywhere.
I did keep some blank CDs (at least, I think they're blank) and a whole lot of file folders and paper clips.
This unaccustomed activity is because we have a new project manager starting Monday. Yay!
And now, must finish, because book club tonight. I'm about halfway through Shopgirl. Would have finished last night but my cousin Barbara invited me to dinner instead, which is always a much better bet than sitting home by myself. She gave us parsnip-and-red-pepper-and-pear soup, seafood pie, and obscene quantities of Christmas cookies and clementines. Mmmmm.
