Feb. 17th, 2004 05:19 pmI completely forgot to mention it (thanks
thassalia for calling it to mind) but my parents sent me flowers for Valentine's Day! I still can't figure out how the guy made the intercom work, 'cause it sure isn't working for me...
What actually happened is this: I was drowsing in bed when the phone rang. I answered it. Someone on the other end said "Westmount Florist?"
I said, groggily, "I'm sorry, you have the wrong number."
"No, you have flowers."
Oh. Oh!
I buzzed him in and put on a dressing gown to receive the bouquet in suitable style. It's lovely -- Gerbera daisies and baby tulips and assorted purple and yellow miscellanies and foliage. With ribbons on.
My parents are the greatest...

Date: 2004-02-17 03:49 pm (UTC)My mom always sends things to my work, which just brightens my day, especially because in between all the lovely, funny treats, she sends random stuff she wants to get rid of and things that she's either liberated when I've visited or that I've left behind:) This time it was a scarf, last time it was a bank shaped like an energizer battery:)
