No work will be done today...

well, not much. Office is well-nigh deserted. Everyone must be nursing their hangovers.

Date went OK.

I gave him bad directions so he arrived pretty late, but he found the place. He gets definite brownie points for handling office Christmas party filled with obnoxious drunken colleagues with aplomb. (Martin Robert, who I am going to KILL if he ever shows up today, told him roughly this -- apply Quebecois accent: "Robin used to be dating someone else, but I know the guy and she definitely deserves better. From what I can see, you're a step in the right direction. But that was a long time ago. She hasn't had sex in a long time.")

Then we went to Hurley's... hard to get a decent conversation going 'cause of the noise. He appears to know everyone in the place. Chief topics of conversation: music, religion, alcohol. Still, worth pursuing for a bit, I think. He's nice. I wimped out around 1 a.m. because I was tired. Still am.

Will try & make it to party tonight.
