Made it out of the office by 7:30 which included a little mini SFC site update. Drinks with the boys, missed my bus, took the metro and another bus, made it to the gym by 9:20. OK, only 20 minutes on the treadmill and a few crunches, but better than nothing, right? Certainly did me a power of good -- I could feel all the tension in my shoulders loosening. (Probably not so good to brood over the annoying client on the walk home... ah well.)

At least it turns out that we're not the ONLY vendor this client drives mad (and he's managed to piss off me, Steph and Soula so far -- Gia's dreading first contact). The printer and I had a nice little bitch session. If this is the life of a preferred vendor you can keep it. Nobody mentioned mind-reading was involved. Anyway, I sent him a more detailed list of questions, which he will undoubtedly ignore, minor little details like "Which of the 37 documents do you want printed, exactly?" and "How many copies?" -- the printer said she tried this already and he said "Ask Robin, she knows all about it." Pause for hysterical laughter. Then I told her about the CDs she's supposed to be replicating and she said "What CDs?" in a despairing tone.

Anyway, you get the picture. But we continue on.

Was good to see Andy this evening and he was encouragingly keen on the grad school idea. I think continued hypoemployment (if that's a word -- well, it should be) is getting him down. But his options are open and apparently there's something promising in DC. Fingers are crossed.

We had an unexpected snowstorm this morning. Went from clear to blizzard in about 3 minutes. Then it stopped. The ploughs and tow trucks are out in force tonight... I'm so glad my car's in Kelly and Jean's driveway...

Oh, and one other thing is out in force: they only called the election yesterday but the Liberal candidate in my riding already has minions out there putting up posters. Gah. I don't want a provincial election.

In happy news, though, they just made bus passes tax-deductible (and about bloody time, too). Haven't looked at the rest of the budget yet... but it probably won't have anything else as exciting.

Haven't cooked it yet. I ate leftovers instead.

Just realized SFC updates not showing up (K was quite right). They work fine for me at work. WTF? This is new. Server cache, or silent FTP problems?

Have dumped it in Etana's lap for the time being, although I'm not sure she actually has any time...

Yes. I forgot. We are having some.

Rumble rumble rumble
Mutiny mutiny mutiny

Ahem. Yes. Gotta love Stan Freberg. The point is, Michel came around Monday beaming and said "We won [Project X, forget the name]!"

I said "I don't want it!"

Gia said "Stay away from me!"

Steph said "NO!"

I don't know if Martin said anything, but he's obviously not taking it either.

I think we're all a little tired...
