(no subject)

Much against my will, I'm rooting for Anaheim. Can't resist an underdog, particularly when they've done such an amazing job coming from behind (twice!) in this series. But it's not looking good for them.

(Everyone's playoff beard is nicely advanced. Much better than in the early rounds.)

(Hm. I THINK I just saw my friend Jean in that Canadian Tire ad. I know he's in it somewhere, but my reception is worse than usual. They're right though, that dog is really cute.)

Stayed far too late at work. ( Boring work mutterings )

(oh shit. New Jersey just scored again. A little over 3 minutes to go. Anaheim is screwed...)

Took a taxi home 'cause I'd missed the bus and it was raining. Delighted to see the Westmount lawn bowling club out on the green, under the sodium lights, dressed to ignore the rain in yellow ponchos and slickers and sou'westers with their lawn bowling whites underneath. This always makes me happy.

(And that's that. WHAT are they throwing on the ice?)
