Everyone go see Les Triplettes de Belleville, if you are like me and slow and haven't seen it yet! It is entirely wonderful. I was originally planning to go to the AMC to work on my long list of Oscar nominees I haven't seen yet, but [livejournal.com profile] moonlightjoy and [livejournal.com profile] emjayne suggested this at the Parisien instead. I was late, but luckily they were near the door.

When we got out it was snowing, huge wet sticky flakes. Then we went to Reuben's and ate wildly disparate meals. Was good.

Cumulus is pissing me off.

I freely accept the possibility that I don't know how to use it correctly. That said, however, I DID print out the user guide and I DO have it in front of me and it DOES say "Once you locate the new location of one of the missing files, Cumulus attempts to find the remaining assets in that same directory."

And I am, nonetheless, having to click "Open" 550 times, because the above sentence lies.

...originally posted to [livejournal.com profile] mrdankelly's journal but now available to a wider audience! Because I don't know, and I'm curious.

Do you have any equivalent of Elections Canada down there?

I ask because the notion of an individual electoral district designing its own ballot still, after 3 and a bit years, blows my mind. I found the Federal Elections Commission, but that seems to the casual eye to deal specifically with finance, not with running elections in general. (Also, their web designer should be shot. But that's another matter.)

Are all federal elections run at the local level? Or how does it work?
