Feb. 8th, 2005 02:16 pmI bought a primula for the office on the way back from my checkup. (New prescriptions, hurray.) This is the time of year when Toronto is grey, grey, grey and soggy with a crust of ice and the Brits on my friends list taunt me with daffodils. *shakes fist* So spring flowers, even in pots, are necessary.
And I have a new job! -- apparently, they love me and they want to keep me, so I got a raise and a permanent position and a made-up title and more licence to meddle. Less writing, and I'm only supervising epilepsy rather than writing it (I'm sure you'll all be relieved to hear this, but it's kind of my baby and it makes me a little sad to give it up), but more editing and working with the artists on interactive stuff. I just signed my new contract and apparently I now pay into the pension plan! -- first time I've ever had a job with a pension plan.
Still a little surprised, because the bossman sprang this on me yesterday ten minutes before our team meeting. But pleased! Definitely pleased!
Guess this means I should get back to work.
