Grace and equilibrium restored. raithen talked sense to me and crankygrrl gave me big hugs and my mother said "I don't see what you think you should have been doing -- it's our money."

I will stop being silly now.

House report: Thursday

My aunt reports:

Today for lunch, Dan, John, Jen and I had udon noodle soup
again, but with the added surprise element of sticky rice in the tempura
garnish. We are all still, or newly, sickly, except Dan. I figure the
pipe-smoking must help.

Dan is almost finished the drywall in the second floor hallway. John is
almost finished first floor wiring. (Please remember 'almost' is a
flexible term.) William was not in, having a bad back.

It is rainy and gross here. Two more hours until I can knock off work...

House update

Late-breaking news from my aunt:

John reports that Dan has finished the drywall on the ceiling
of the second floor hall.*

As I think on it, that would be from the two 2x4's I saw yesterday
precariously perched over the precipitous staircase.

Dan says he would like the statue to him placed in the centre of the front
lawn.**

on Kingston Road that sells all kinds of bronze statuary. I'm sure the
