My aunt reports:

Today for lunch, John and I had basil chicken sandwiches. On
the weekend, Jen, Rob, John and I went to Gabby's on Saturday and on
Sunday Jen, John and I had breakfast.

Jen has been assembling: the wardrobe and kitchen cabinets, including
handles. Robin painted her bathroom and put on handles. (I should be so
lucky as to have handles. But it's nifty how you can open cabinets with
your feet.)

John has been working on Jen's kitchen--cabinets, plumbing. He varnished
the cut surfaces of cabinet pieces to achieve waterproof-ness. Also worked
on bathroom. He opened the size of the holes, and got a nipple to connect
the tub's spout. Also did some cleaning.
Cheers, Helen
Jen is getting ahead of me! We are going to have
an electrical tutorial on Wednesday so that I can start wiring my lights
-- a distressing number are left to go, and they are rather crucial. I was
going to buy a fan, but the store is closed on Sundays (and only open
9-5:30 on weekdays), so it'll have to be next weekend. Went up to the
cottage Saturday night so didn't do anything Sunday, which is why I'm
behind. I did do a lot of stuff at home Sunday night though, which felt
all virtuous.

My bathroom is very blue. Seriously, seriously blue. When you stand on the
stairs and look at it and the kitchen it's... very Crayola. Nice colour,
though, and I'm sure once I paint in stars and goldfish and things it will
be just delightful.

It's really blue, though.

And THANK you Alan Cross for playing a song on the radio that I haven't heard 50,000 times already! ("Holiday in Cambodia" by the Dead Kennedys, as it happens.)

Imagine, songs on the radio that haven't been done to death. It's amazing. Reminds me of when the Edge was CFNY and played music you couldn't hear on all the other radio stations. You know, years ago when the world was young.

In a bid to reclaim my life, I am trying to schedule every available minute of down time. I know that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but so far (one evening in) it seems to be working OK. Will let you know how it goes.
