electricland: (don't panic)
Haven't pulled a mostly-all-nighter in quite a while. Perhaps I will give myself permission to sleep in a bit tomorrow.

Presentation is mostly licked into shape. Individual assignment worth 50% of the mark, not so much, but at least I can use chunks of the presentation. It's creating the damn site map (tomorrow) that will be a problem. Oh Visio, why must you be so expensive? ...wait, trial version! I forgot about that! Perhaps all is not lost.

Am remembering another reason I hate group projects, though, which is the ever-present opportunity to be the asshole who is late with everything and screws someone else up.

On the plus side... what's the worst that can happen? I fail miserably, I don't get my course fee reimbursed, and three people who I'll never see again hate me forever. Not so terrible really.

Presentation is -- God willing and the river don't rise -- done. Everyone's bits are in. It even hangs together sort of (although not tremendously) coherently. And it looks pretty; I demand that my PowerPoint presentations look pretty.

And the good think about this being nearly over (22 hours until I'm free!) is that I won't have to deal any more with Annoying Team Member. To be fair, his English language skills are not the greatest, and I'm sure this impedes his message at times. But dude, just because I'm the one putting everybody's presentations together in the master document doesn't mean I'm going to take it on myself to completely reorganize someone else's section because you think it's a good idea.

(Further mean-spirited bitching deleted. It really doesn't matter that much. Because freedom in 22 hours!)

Really, I think it would have been better to do this when I wasn't crazy busy in 3 other directions. And it would also have been good for our group to do a different site, I think. All that aside, I've enjoyed the course and I think I got a fair bit out of it.

Now, onward to individual assignment. At least he wants it short and snappy.
