...Let me clarify that. One delivery (that one that had me here until midnight last night) went fine, apart from all the last-minute crap. The other, which I should never have agreed to but however, is not going out because the Mac won't talk to the colour printer over the network. (As a bonus, one of the black and white printers is out of toner and the other needs servicing.) In the circumstances, it's comforting to reflect that my photocopier problems, viz. (a) forgetting I had a 200-page document to make 5 copies of and (b) discovering that the copier likes to skip about every 10th page randomly, really made no difference.

We are supposed to be a high-tech sort of company.

If we'd had time, probably, but a lot of what we do is very last-minute.

It's one thing if we miss a deadline because I or my team screwed up, but the colour printer shouldn't be the deciding factor.

Anyway, it's fixed now. If we miss another one we'll have nothing to blame but ourselves. ;)
