Hm. Not much happened today...

...got a new project, demoed the fixes on the scary project, found out the problem we thought was fixed wasn't... updated SFC, grocery shopped, cooked. (I have used the spinach I bought, rather than letting it go bad and feeling guilty about it. I am proud. Suspect the salad mix has had it, though.)

It's COLD. (Mauro comes back to work on Monday; we checked out the weather in Santiago and discovered it was 25°C, i.e. approximately 50 degrees warmer than it is here, not counting wind chill. He won't want to come back.) Didn't realize quite how cold it was until I missed my bus (fabulous bus karma has abruptly deserted me for some reason, I think the buses are earlier than usual) and had to walk to the station. Walked happily along Sherbrooke until I hit the first cross-street, where a 50 km/h blast straight from the Arctic hit me amidships and nearly froze me on the spot. At least, my middle and arms were lovely and warm thanks to the extremely warm parka in an impractical colour; my face and legs were convinced their last hour had come. Ugh.

But the end is in sight, it's supposed to be up to -9 by Friday.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

This is why I don't live in Montreal. It is either freezing cold (that wind. those wind tunnels. BRRRR!) Or boiling hot and humid. Not fun. Glad to hear parka paid off though. Now you need a muffler. And long johns! Or better bus karma. . . . See, it's 'cause you were mean to me today. ;) dog with a bone, yep, that's me!

Btw, Dad SHOCKED newsletter taking so long.will be done early tomorrow. Honest. I am NOT a perfectionist. no way, no how. But appreciative.

It is slightly warmer in Toronto an almost balmy -17 but it's the -27 windchill that kills you.

Especially if you happen to work on the windiest corner of the entire city. The wind blows across Queen's Park, gets funnelled down Wellesley and hits Bay Street with the force of a tornado.

Brrrrrrrrrr

We've been hit with quite the cold front, as well. We've even been issued a "special weather statement" about it. Blah. I want it to warm up!
