So, yeah. Got up at ungodly hour this morning to meet Mary and go to first aid/CPR course (before the Gazette arrived even!). It's mostly stuff I sort of knew, but codified. Not terrifically impressed with the instructor, he's good with the demonstrations and very enthusiastic and patient, but all he does otherwise is read out the workbook to us -- no summarizing of the videos, no discussion. We have ID'd the class keener, Mary is definitely the class clown and I, I'm afraid, am the class know-it-all (I edited a module on shock and critical care and a program on cardiovascular disease in women, what do you want from me?). However, definitely learning stuff and it's fun (particularly working with the torsos).

Rather slow, although ironically we got finished early today. Back tomorrow.

Anyway, we went and ate Chinese food to celebrate the new year (Mary and Chantal would've had a party if it weren't for the course, so this was the alternative) and came back here to make sure I called. Now I've called, so I'm sitting here torn between (a) going to bed really early, (b) bath, (c) downloading tax software, (d) housework, (e) lying on couch and watching a movie.

Hm.

You found a chinese restaurant OPEN????

You're lucky!

All the chinese restaurants here are closed for the chinese new year. THE WHOLE CHINESE NEW YEAR!
