Today's office excitement: we have a new kettle! It's big and new and beautiful and has an automatic shutoff, which is VERY important since it's very easy to leave the kitchen and go away and forget all about the tea you're trying to make. I'm pretty sure that's how the last one died -- C and I found it in the garbage with a little sunken melted spot on the outside, not at all what one likes to see.

I am so boring.
