Finally did my taxes.

Moment of utter panic when it looked like I owed the government money. It turned out I'd forgotten about all my Quebec taxes, which were on another slip. So they owe me money instead. Phew.

It's just going straight to my mountain of debt, of course, but what can you do? I look back fondly on those 3 weeks in August when I was debt-free...

It will help quite a bit, but the debt means I can't buy myself fun and frivolous things with the refund. *sigh* Probably Black Hole of Debt would be a more accurate term. *sigh*

Believe me, I understand ($125K in student loan debt, about that in mortgage). I hope that at least you'll see a bit of daylight soon! But it sucks not to be able to buy anything fun. :(

There is something very powerful about that idea of owning something and it being yours to do with as you will. Like say for instance you want to indoor baseball with coffee cups, there is nothing to stop you if the mood strikes you... well aside from common sense and your cousin shouting

But come on, if the mood struck you could do it :D
