Well, half a house.

J picked up the keys this afternoon, so it's official! Wheee!

Wow! Congratulations!

Geez, you must have a really well-paying job because I have no idea how I'll ever afford half a house, much less a whole one.

Way to go!

:)

CONGRATULATIONS! And, enjoy the part of home ownership where you walk through your house, touch the walls and coo... "Miiiiiine" in a Golum-like voice.

Hiho.

Congrats!

We thought we owned a house. The bank keeps informing us otherwise. :)

Cu,
Andrew

Its a much nicer house than I had originally thought from disciptions I had heard. Without that big ole green awning thing on the front it looks damn near presentable. :P

The electric situation is a little bit scary but that is easy enough to fix. The extention cords used as some sort of rope was very strange though.

And a great big YIPPIE!! You Own A House!

Ah, yes. It's a combination of (a) the Giant Mountain of Debt (which I'm trying not to think about), (b) going halves with my cousin, (c) our generous grandmother, and (d) some RRSP savings. Oh, and the whole lot of work we'll have to put in to make the place habitable.

And thank you!

Oooh. Maybe I'll do that tonight!

Mmmmyes. It's kind of like the definition of a yacht, isn't it? -- a large hole in the water into which you throw money? A giant house-shaped piece of debt. ;)

Thank you!

Party as soon as we have at least some of: a safe electricity supply; running water;

...actually I guess that's all we really need to throw a party. That's why God invented barbecues and beer coolers, isn't it?

I'm looking forward to seeing it! It sounds like it has good bones ;-)

I shall be landing on the shores around Canada Day, methinks, in time to see Dad for his 65th. Do you know anyone who has flown Zoom? I'm intrigued by the prices (£89 each way)

It's lovely here today, on Bank Holiday Monday. It's clear and warm, with only a few splashes on rain ;-) Ahhhh. Life in England ;-)
