May. 24th, 2005 04:36 pmSo I am copy editing, and as usual coming up with a rich vein of new rules to add to the style guide. Yes, I am bossy. (Some are judgement calls that haven't come up before, like, what's the possessive of "fetus"? CP Style suggests but does not state that it should be "fetus's", not "fetus'", so that's what I'm going with.)
I can't figure out, though, if the rash of cutesy "Once baby is born..." constructions are deliberate or merely typos born of speed and point form. Also, is it just me that retches on reading that?
Also, I would like to nap now, please.

Expediency is, I think, coming into play. As me ol' boss always says to me -- if you can come up with something better.... ;)
