Sadly, I think he's wrong. I believe I saw a doc on the Prius that showed it being used as a taxi in Japan.

Agreed! I had actually hoped to be one, and I test drove a Prius in its first year. Sadly, the price scared me away then... But I'm hoping to afford it this year or next, when I finally replace the current Andrewmobile.
