House update: Friday
Aug. 12th, 2005 02:02 pmMy aunt writes:
Today had boughten submarine sandwiches, because I was supposed to have a pedicure--but service person did not show up on time.I forgot to ask if my sinks and things ever showed up. [EDIT: yes they did!]
The 2nd floor bathroom door has been rehung, the false ceiling in the pass-through has been put up, and the drywall for the 3rd floor stairs is being installed.
David said his fears about Dan's taking on electricity had been groundless (pun!) because Dan refused to actually hook anything up.
Borrowed the labour briefly to install new light fixture in our kitchen: to do that and to keep up the good fight against being inundated by stuff in the sunroom. Labour did not electrocute themselves, fall down, stab themselves with the screwdriver or break stuff--principally, I'm sure, because they kept telling each other not to do so.
Cheers, H

Date: 2005-08-12 06:18 pm (UTC)Both sinks are this model (http://www.ca.kohler.com/onlinecatalog/detail.jsp?from=thumb&frm=null&module=Lavatories&item=176602&prod_num=2286-1§ion=2&category=16), but with 8-inch centres instead of 4-inch, and kind of old-fashioned taps.
I thought of getting one of their squarer sinks but this had a lighter feel to it. One for each bathroom. (Egads, I'm going to have 2 bathrooms...)
And I'm not at all sure about housewarming, but will consult with J and let you know.
