Nov. 24th, 2005 10:00 amI suppose if my mother must send me spam, adorable-baby-animal spam is not the worst way to go. But when your mother forwards you an email that says BEST POSITIONS IN BED, it's a little... weird. I'm just sayin'.
Seen on my travels:
- After two hours in sunny California and one in July, headed out of Cranky's apartment into winter. First proper snowfall of the season -- not very thick, but enough to get us into winter-wonderland territory.
- On the platform at Osgoode station, two guys on stepladders painting the ceiling and grooving to the Commitments and Van Morrison at top volume.
- Outside the house, a cryptic equation in a foreign language and a snowman drawn on the road. One set of footprints leading up to it and away.
- This morning, the sun broke over a thick bank of grey cloud into the blue sky and shone through the meltwater on the trees. I took the long southward walk to the subway so I could admire it.
