House update: Thursday

My aunt reports:

Today for lunch, Dan, John and I had pistou soup and club
sandwiches.

Yesterday and this morning, John wired wired and wired circuit for HRV and
cable, internet and telephone.

John says the heat is now set at 16 degrees and the temperature seems to
vary very little. Guess the insulation will pay off.

Insulation guys will come this or next week to finish off the headers in
the basement. Not a big job. In the meantime, hooligans can seal up
windows and do joists.

Dan worked on sound insulation on the first floor ceiling ("tedious to no
end") and managed to fill almost completely the new dumpster with
back-yard stuff.

Bill fixed the front door so that it closes.

The duct guys say they are done.
Cheers all, Helen
To which I say: Wow!

I know! I'm so excited! OK, not much word on drywall, but still!

Pistou soup appears to involve basil and garlic. (http://www.cote.azur.fr/recette_pistou-soup_19_lang_en.htm) As I was typing that I thought "Something like pesto" and then I thought "Hmm, interesting coincidence with the names there" and then I thought "Ah!"

I can ask for the precise recipe. Sounds nummy, I must say!

indeed with the nummy!

and you know, St Patty's day is a Friday this year, so perhaps you could have a "Wearing O' the Green WE ACTUALLY LIVE HERE AT LAST so Don't Puke on the Floor" Housewarming Party (Vol II) that day ;).

Goals, gotta love 'em!

That would be SO cool. We can but hope!
