My aunt reports:

Today for all-day breakfast, Karyn, Robin, Jen, Brian, Dan, John McG, John, Mike and I had Spanish omelettes, beef sausage, fruit, biscotti, croissants and ciabatta with cheese. Imminent starvation was once more avoided.

This morning most all hands (that were there) were involved in clearing out Jen's bedroom--again in preparation for drywall.

Dan worked on the valence for the light on the third floor bathroom.

John worked on ceiling insulation.

Cheers, Helen
I arrived just in time for all-day breakfast. Apparently I'm getting a reputation.

After breakfast we went back to the house. With Jen's help I stuffed insulation into the hall ceiling until we ran out, while Dan continued on the third floor and Brian and Karyn scraped the kitchen floor. Then we collapsed cardboard boxes and looked for bits of floorboard for a while. Then Uncle John came back with more insulation and scary yet environmentally friendly Stuff to remove the goop from the floor. Very citrusy and with Awful Warnings about not swallowing it, but none about using in a well-ventilated area. Quite effective but I think we'll need more. John McG took pictures -- this is going to be the best-documented renovation ever.

Ooh. Be careful around that citrusy stuff - it's extremely dangerous, "All-Natural" or not. We're actually forbidden to bring it into the studios, because of ominous Things that might Happen if we did. Always wear gloves while using it!

I can't remember why, though. Just that it makes the more health-and-safety prof go kind of green when we talk about it.

When working with the Grafitti Removal Crew, we used stuff called Solution 73 or something like that. Also all natural, and rather citrusy. But as was pointed out to us, it was still UltraHeavyDuty paint cleaner.

yeah, I didn't read the label (it was the other side of the room) but it sounded omminous as anything!
