House update: Weekend

We briefly had running water and a drain in the same place. Alas, it didn't last. My aunt reports:

Yesterday for lunch, Gill, Stuart, Robin, Jen, Jen, Mike, John and I had baked asparagus ham rolls, with hard-boiled eggs and cheese sauce.

John and Jen installed the toilet and sink in Robin's third floor bathroom.*
Gill and Robin painted, and Rob vacuumed.
Stuart started on a bathroom shelf.

Then we all had a Kentucky Derby party with occasional hooligans, Ken and Carol.

Today for lunch/breakfast, Robin, Jen, Jen, Mike, John and I had omelettes and fruit salad. Robin is painting her laundry alcove.**

*Unfortunately the sink leaks, or at least one of the connections to it does. John's going to keep working on it.
**And then I painted half the bedroom. Go me! Up the ladder, down the ladder, up the ladder, down the ladder, move the ladder, up the ladder, down the ladder, move the ladder, move the tarp, move the ladder, up the ladder, down the ladder... repeat. It looks good though.

and I'm glad you enjoy them. Sometimes I worry about inflicting them on an unsuspecting friends list.

Painting is not as bad as it would have been before the invention of the paint roller. That's what I tell myself...
