House update: Monday
May. 8th, 2006 01:41 pmMy aunt reports:
**I'm guessing this is on the party wall? All the other walls look done.
***Poor floors... every time we walk on them I feel guilty. We bought mats, feet, wiping, for the purpose of, but the floors are still very dusty.
****Jens, I mean. Not Mike's girlfriends.
Would be nice if they would put drywall up on Jen's kitchen walls. Well, they're sort of done, but not completely. I am feeling unfairly rich in completed walls by comparison.
Today for lunch Jen* (who starts her new job tomorrow), John, David, Mike and I had boughten tourtiere, with, instead of the usual salad, peas. (Mike said I gave them a chance.)*i.e., Other Jen, Mike's girlfriend. Their name is Jen, and they are legion!****
David removed plaster in the front hall in preparation for drywall.** Said it was good to see all that crud again. Dave said he missed Dan because he could not manage to fill up the Dan index. John plumbed, briefly.
William is carpentering--waiting for floors to be done. The floor guys come today at 4:00 to put a second coat on the first floor and it has to be treated very carefully for 24 hours.***
Cheers all, Helen
