Actually, my basement is suspiciously dry. It's half concrete, half dirt, with a sump pump permanently installed...and the pump has barely kicked in. There's plastic sheeting over the dirt to keep the moisture contained...and it's dry underneath. Considering my neighbors have had a (new) sump pump going for four days now, I'm not sure what's going on. But I like it.

There is some water under the living room, and my tenant says there's the usual puddle on her side, but both are not only normal, they're lower than normal.

you're luckier than my sister - she had her basement flood already (she's in Manchester, NH) Luckily, her husband used to work for a company that does disaster clean-ups, so his old boss just left the equip. at the house & he took care of it himself.

I was going to write a post about how crappy the water was today at crew, then I saw fairoriana's post with pictures of MA right now & decided, ya know...I'm good. ;)
