My aunt reports:
Today for lunch, Dan, David, John and I had beef Wellington, with vegetable garnish and Madeira sauce. David and Dan are off to pastures new.
(Yesterday I was downtown and had lunch with Jen; so did not report.)
Dan and Dave have finished drywalling the first floor and are working on the stair well to the basement. Also worked on the lock on the front door.
William has been mudding and taping, and doing carpentry.
John has been wiring and putting in supports for Robin's microwave. Also, yesterday did much shopping: went to Rona and bought nails and resilient channel and stuff, and to Danforth Lumber for wood for doorframes.
I will miss the hooligans. Yes, they've been constant, intelligent and hard-working support for the project. But for moi (that's what counts), they are intelligent, funny, wide-ranging and interesting lunch-time conversationalists. Some things in life are important.
Cheers, Helen
