I was standing in an elevator the other day and there was a notice about the hours of operation for the office in the building... in French it said they would be closed on fete de Dollard... which makes sense and all... in English it was on Dollar's day they would be closed. Now I know that it should be Queen Victoria's birthday altogether but what the hell is Dollar's day?

Actually, the bomb-lobbing potential Darwin Award candidate Dollard fell out of fashion... we're now celebrating the Patriotes of the 1834-1835 rebellions.
