We had a very anticlimactic fire drill/false alarm (I think the latter, given the four fire trucks that showed up and then went away again). Had I thought, I could have brought along the article I'm working on and stayed downstairs to drink coffee.

Walking down 17 flights of stairs is kind of tiresome. Better than 71, I guess.

thanks! It would've been better if I hadn't been wearing the very cute new shoes that had already shredded my feet, as shoes are wont to do. Sigh. But at least I didn't have to walk UP 17 flights -- that would've been bad. ;)
