House update: Wednesday

It came late, but it came. My aunt reports:

Today for lunch, John and I had tortierre and salad. James didn't want lunch.

Today, John did an early morning dump run, bought lumber for window and door frames, and, meeting friend Bill E on the street, gave him a Cooke's tour of the house. Bill was suitably impressed.

I put primer on the intersecting bits of Jen's living and dining rooms, and on 1/2 of the ceiling and walls of the dining room.

William worked on Jen's front room window frames.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, James S came to our house and, being very experienced in landscaping (as is his father) repaired the stone steps--with filter cloth and stuff and quartz to stop the weeds--and dug up the impenetrable weed bed on the second level and moved earth. Let's hear it for nepotism!

Meanwhile I did nothing on the House last night, because Jen and I were at pixel12's hen night on the Danforth -- nicely restrained, I thought, although she was made to wear a tiara with a veil. And I now have a button that says "Vamp" in pink and black letters.

In these matters, its essential that the guest of honour be nicely restrained.

Whether by silk rope or chain is just a matter of taste.
