Shoe factory + drag queens + lovable working-class people in English
industrial town + Chiwetel Etjiofor (sp?) + happy ending + Kirsty on the
soundtrack = entirely delightful.

Yeah, it was enjoyable, but...

I think we need a moratorium on films about quirky smalltown blue collar English folk who join together to overcome adversity and in the process learn something abou themselves.

That and Star Trek films.

Pssht. OK, I'm not saying we need vast quantities of them, but one here and there does no harm. And hey, if the next Star Trek film has a shoe factory and drag queens, I'm totally there!
