House update: Wednesday
Jul. 19th, 2006 03:40 pmMy aunt reports:
to drill through the gas line up to my kitchen when he installs Jen's
microwave vent. I was concerned that I was being too fretful, but
apparently he was grateful because he hadn't thought of that. So I guess I
shall continue both to fret and to share the results.
Am engaged on a work-productivity plan that involves staying the hell off
LJ during the work day. Yes, I know, but I really mean it this time -- I'm
writing it down when I slip, and bribing myself if I succeed! So far so
good.
Today for lunch John and I had udon noodle soup with tempuraAnd I have reminded John, via Jen, not
garnish.
John put in the sink and a base cabinet in Jen's kitchen with "a nifty
triangular piece of wood" and then had to install plumbing for the
dishwasher. John also searched for melamine gable ends in the porch to put
stuff on cabinets.
John and William worked on windows. William caulked and repaired. John
went to Danforth Glass and mirror and bought putty, glass and glazier
points to repair broken windows.
Yours very truly, Helen
