House update: Thursday
Jul. 20th, 2006 02:33 pmMy aunt reports:
M-from-Montreal last night, then brought her over to look at the house; no
sooner had we started upstairs than there was a banging on the door, which
turned out to be Z, followed by S+F, followed by
monkeycommando, who had all happened to be passing in the car.
They were all MOST complimentary, which was nice. Still have to get a
shower working.
Today for lunch, John and I had submarine sandwiches in theHad drinks and what turned into dinner with
garden where the cardinals are cruising waiting for the grapes to get
bigger. John asked me to water the grapes yesterday so the cardinals
wouldn't be disappointed.
John continued work on the base cabinets in Jen's kitchen. Today for the
first time he used a compass (geometry type) as a scribe to mark the cut
for an uneven floor (bump between kitchen and living room) into a
horizontal board. He was very pleased.
William worked on windows.
Cheers, Helen

NOOOOOO.
Not living there yet, but really just waiting for some way to bathe or shower (and for William to be gone, because he kind of spreads out).
My colours are: Pot-Pourri Green (fairly bright apple-y green) in the kitchen; Aquarium Blue in the bathroom; undecided in the dining room, but probably something fairly neutral with possibly a dark red wall just 'cause; Mill Springs Blue (muted bluey-green) in the living room; and Wyndham Cream everywhere else. I think they're delightful.
