(no subject)

I don't think it's just because I'm in nitpick mode and have been for a week and a half (eagle-eye hyphen girl is on the case! and may I say that I had NO IDEA new parents needed to know so much about poo?) that I wish to say the following:

Dear History.com:

If you are going to put up a Flash(y) (heh) ad on Salon.com whose text runs "From the slowest... to the fastest... and everything in between", and the "to the fastest" part is illustrated with a Formula 1 car, I would recommend that you not illustrate the "from the slowest" part with a horse-drawn carriage. I am assuming that your class here is "ground transportation", or perhaps even "wheeled ground transportation". In either case, though, vehicles pulled by donkeys or oxen are going to be significantly slower than those pulled by horses. Your choice of illustration is causing me to look skeptically on your entire site. I urge you to reconsider.

Love,

me.

Even though I didn't remember about unicycles until after this post? I bet an ox-drawn cart would outrace a unicycle pretty quickly if the oxen were motivated.

I think they could keep going longer, if nothing else. Unicycles seem to lack inertia!

Oh, incidentally, as I'm babysitting the cat anyway, do you want to do Veronica Mars this week?

Aww, TULLY is AWESOME. I am in serious love with him. He wrestles just like a kitten should, and is an utter sweetie, and she has the bestest kitty in the world. He and I bond over televison and bad movies and I am very fond of him.

He does get into absolutely everything, though.

VM would be excellent!

I have just learned, to my delight, that Sun TV is now simulcasting the new episodes -- so we don't even need to take advantage of the digital cable, and if you'd rather, you could come over to The House to watch. (Which would be good for me, as I was planning to cook beforehand and during commercial breaks.) Lemme know. You have my cell number, right?
