House report: Monday
Jan. 15th, 2007 02:37 pmMy aunt reports:
curtain (the holes on either end had ripped, so I bought a vinyl repair
kit, which worked frighteningly well) and attempted to clean the soap scum
off it with vinegar. Ick, but it more or less worked. That was about it
for excitement -- I thought about putting up another light but the number
of wires sprouting from the hole discouraged me. So I washed dishes and
did laundry and swept the floors and took out empty beer bottles and
really exciting things like that.
Saw Children of Men Saturday night (from the front row, not ideal,
but it was still good). Also continued to catch up on Battlestar
Galactica -- one of these days I may be able to boast that I've seen
all of season 1. You don't wanna rush this stuff. Also The Closer,
also Enemy at the Door (Nazis!) -- the library appears to have all
of it, whereas we're going to have to go further afield for the rest of
Foyle's War.
Today for lunch, John, Dan and I had tortierre. On the weekend I fixed my shower
Dan did wood-billing and caulking on the second floor, and is now
moving up in the world to the third floor.
John thought about Robin's shower.
Regards, Helen
