Allergy season is here.

I thought it was just helping life_on_queen clean her apartment last night -- the cat dander definitely didn't help -- but no, I sniffled nonstop on the streetcar (which must have been fun for my fellow passengers) and it turns out the ragweed pollen is in full force. And of course the spores. I walked in and informed my officemate of this fact; he said he already knew about it because his wife woke up with a red and streaming nose this morning. So at least it's not just me. Bah. Stupid immune system.

I would also like some summer back please.

yes on both points: allergies begone! (I STILL think you should get and use a neti pot. or the hydrasense spray from the drug store.) and summer come BAAAAAAAAAAACK.

Also, I MISS you. And I didn't come see you. I should have. **feels guilty**

Before starting new and interesting anti-allergy stuff I may go back to saline nasal spray for a while. I found it quite pleasant in the spring.

and hydra sense is kind of like the saline spray, just a little more cleansing - the gentle spray kind is really nice....

That explains a lot. I have been sniffling/sneezing for the last 4 days or so. Ragweed is my big allergy ... or at least it was when I got tested a number of years ago. I usually get hit hard right around Labour Day, but this year spring was killer as well, so who knows.

The ragweed hasn't been bothering me yet (knock on wood), and where I work is surrounded by houses whose owners don't seem terribly big on yardwork.

Though the building itself has very little grass, and Belinda Stronach's HQ, two doors down, is immaculately kept, so maybe that keeps the ragweed down. OTOH, maybe it's just been too cool and damp the past couple of days, and my allergies will kick in with a vengeance later this week...
