Death to the forests!

Today is tree-killing day.

One of my clients, who shall remain nameless for obvious reasons, requires 6 hard copies (1 colour, 5 B/W) of everything we send them for "official" (medical, legal, regulatory, marketing, editorial) review.

I have a storyboard with references going out (and oh yes, 6 copies of the references too, please) and a beta. For the beta, we screen-grab every page that has text on it. If there are scroll bars, we screen-grab every portion of the text.

It takes hours and is very wasteful and usually has to go out in a 25-kg box. Argh.

as if the fires aren't consuming enough trees, i will likely be printing 3 copies of the three versions of a 164 page doc for proofing purposes. . .

Don't you just hate that... I'm in the medical profession and the amount of trees killed for red tape and BS is not even funny... Sorry, just gotta love them trees!
