Books 'n' such

crankygrrl informs me that Bakka now has Sorcery and Cecelia in hardcover. (With, I see, a considerably nicer cover than my copy has.)

There's something very pleasing about seeing your old little-known favourites come out in new editions. A sort of vindication of your opinions, but more importantly, a chance for other people to get to know and love them too. This has happened to me a fair bit recently -- I'm thinking of:

• the Liaden Universe books by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller (brought back from obscurity by the fans! yes! it can happen! I looked for the sequels for YEARS, dammit!)


• War for the Oaks and Finder by Emma Bull


• Rosemary Edghill's Bast novels

and there may be more that I'm forgetting.

In case anyone is wondering, yes, you should read all of those. ;)

Oh! I remember Sorcery and Cecilia!! Loved it, and inspired me to start up several fictional letter correspondences with friends. Or is this a sequel?
