(no subject)
Jan. 23rd, 2004 02:59 pmEvery now and again, just when I start to think people are exaggerating about how annoying Microsoft is, I run across a "feature" that makes me want to kick something. Today's episode:
I learned that the default folder for the Save As command in MS Project is My Documents. (I don't keep anything in My Documents. Ever.) You cannot pick "none of the above" to have it save to the same folder the original document is in, like Word and Excel and every other bloody Microsoft product does. All you can do (I'm serious!) is move or rename the My Documents folder and not tell Project you did so.
Stupidity.
I moved My Documents to a folder called "niaiseries", and I hope it stays there for good.
(ETA: Shit, Outlook still knows where it is. But I am going out for a drink with Steph and Martha so I don't care. Have a good weekend, all!)
