God, I'm tired
Jan. 8th, 2003 05:15 pmDay got off to a good start (morning pages AND yoga AND breakfast AND shower, work by 9:30 -- I'm closing in!) but it's been one long grind since then. 2 hours of meetings trying to figure out what was going on with the project from hell and a tactful way of telling the client "uh... NO." Just spent 45 minutes on the phone with a freelancer figuring out what, exactly, she had to do with the 4 separate and distinct versions of a presentation that has to go to the client, like, now. And once we'd figured that out we still had to wait for her to download the 5 megs worth of zip files with her dialup connection. Argh.
Oh hell, and I said I'd do those minutes from last month in time for the conference call tomorrow.
Think happy thoughts. Mary's birthday party at the Claremont tonight. (Not sure she's thinking happy thoughts about this, but I'm trying.)

You got me beat
Date: 2003-01-08 02:37 pm (UTC)I get points for having a healthy lunch (and a healthy dinner - roomie mr_weasel had the slow cooker going all day).
Enjoy your party.
Re: You got me beat
Date: 2003-01-08 02:44 pm (UTC)I did cook last night, so brought in my lunch today. I think this is the first time I've eaten breakfast on a weekday in about 3 years -- not counting hangover emergency food, which is usually a BLT from the snackbar downstairs. Lattes don't count either.
I hope the time trend continues. I mean most days I don't manage to get anything useful done in the morning and I STILL don't make it in to the office until 10:30 (then Michel starts muttering about core hours and overlap with the rest of the team and I try to push it up to 10 again).
