I blame the Gulf Stream

electriclandIt's snowing and -9 here. Started snowing yesterday and hasn't really let up except for occasional patches of rain/sleet/falling slush. mrs_cake and brisingamen say so. Sigh...
Fabulous weekend. Party was fine, but it was late I didn't really know anybody so I hung out and talked to my cousins. (I kept telling myself "Right! I am going to get out there and mingle! Yeah!" but there never seemed to be a good opening.) Stayed with Heidi and Marc and their cats, one of whom (Karinsky) enticed me into tickling his tummy and then dug all his claws and teeth into my arm for my pains -- I call that entrapment. Haven't seen them in nearly two years but we picked right up where we left off. Heidi and I went to the Agriculture Museum and saw baby cows and sheep and goats, very very cute, then drove over to the Glebe and enticed Siobhain away from her marking and went and sat in the Second Cup for about three hours, chatting away. (Haven't seen Siobhain and James since the wedding likewise, but likewise had no problem just picking up where we left off -- Siobhain and I in particular never run out of conversation.)
Anyway. I'm supposed to be working now, so later...

oh, we saw piglets too! They can't have been over a week old, if that.
