When are you getting into town? I was thinking about inviting folks for general "my-god-I'm-old" birthday piss-up. Friday night is probably better than Thursday (picnicing with hangover bad...).

Speaking of, can you give me a lift to the picnic in your car? I'm going to have to hit church first...'course that depends when you're going....

planning picnics on days of fast and abstinence try to adhere to the latter, can't do the former and actually function, and so don't bother. And not always scheduling around long church services.

All in aid of saying that there is probably a 1PM service at one of the churches, or more than one. Parishes have been adding a second service to the trad'l 3PM one. So that might make picnic arrival time more convenient.

I am thinking I might drive to the picnic from Montreal on Friday morning, thus breaking up the trip and reducing backtracking, fuel consumption, driving time etc. Which is no help whatever to you, I'm afraid. My parents might be able to give you a lift, depending when they're leaving...
