note to self

I have upgraded my account again (including extra userpics). That was briefly terrifying! *phew*

But now I remember that I only have 52 userpics. That's terrible! That's, like, 48 short! I need to get on someone's Photoshop and make a few more. Lessee, musing aloud in print:

Oh, I got To Kill a Mockingbird out of the Parliament branch. Had to stay up till midnight to finish it -- no hardship. If anyone else has never read it and is feeling vaguely guilty about that, as I was, delay no further! It really is as good as everyone says! (My hostess was shocked to learn I'd never read it -- but then she said when she was in teacher training she hadn't read it either, and they had an instructor who RAVED about it to the point of putting her off totally, and then she went to study for a final exam and it was sitting in a paperback spinner next to her and to put off the evil studying hour she thought "what the hell" and picked it up and didn't get any studying done until she'd finished it and was sold from that point on... in other words, she understands.)

But yes. It's great.

Please fix this bug. You know why I would like this? Because sometimes, and I know this will come as a huge shock to you, I need to send a document out with both tracked changes and changes to the reference list! Yes! I know! Crazy, but it's true!

Actually, error messages would be a huge improvement over what happens now, which is that the document hangs there for 20 minutes and causes me to have a heart attack.

(of course, what can you expect from someone who uses that goddamn useless javascript:history.back(); command on their website?)
