Not mine for a change, however.

We have determined that things are currently SNAFU rather than FUBAR because the situation is, sadly, all too recognizable. Cannot say more than this in public. Steven believes that we may be heading for FUBAR. He may be right.

But it's not my problem! Not my problem! Text is written, graphics are done, my part is finished until they have something for me to check! Yaaay!

This doesn't happen often enough, which may be why I sound a trifle heartless.

I believe the expression is "Poor planning on your part does not constitute a crisis on my part."

I've lost track of how many times I have wanted to say that to my boss. However, I know she wouldn't take it well.

Just to clarify, I do not wish the owners of the problem ill and am in fact even sending sympathy vibes their way. (Said owners, at least those on the front lines, being one programmer who I believe has been at work all weekend -- anyway I know for a fact he was sending email at 1:30 this morning -- one DBA, and our tech support guy.)

Our higher-ups who thought it wasn't going to be a problem and downgraded the project until it blew up, yes, them we can send nasty thoughts to. In fact, please join me in a chorus of "Why did you think this wouldn't happen?"

The problem is the higher ups probably won't hear you because of where their heads are normally shoved. Just my experience, that's all. :)
