In case not everyone has seen this morning's 24 Hours, may I present... the Beckham Nativity!

(Different picture here.)

Incidentally, 24 hours is decidedly the inferior of the two free dailies. Or of course their writers may be deliberately working out of the Monster Fun Book of Journalistic Cliches, waiting for the rest of us to get the joke. The bit that nearly made me snort coffee out my nose this morning was the last line in the articlet titled "Leo's skydiving horror" -- apparently we nearly lost Leonardo diCaprio to a malfunctioning parachute -- thus:

The handsome star revealed: "My life flashed before my eyes."

you know, I read that story this mornind and I laughed out loud; especially as George Bush is one of the Wise Men I believe, Hugh Grant is a shepherd and man, it was just interesting.

So, who plays the Baby Jesus? Mackuley Calkin ala Home Alone?

While I did find it distasteful, they could have at least made it seem like celebrities were not IN the Nativity scene... geesh!

:D

Apparently the Baby Jesus was just a random plastic doll, because they thought using a real person would be, y'know, inappropriate.

*snickers some more*

I didn't hear about the shepherds or the angel in the first story. That's hilarious.

Regarding Leo:
That must have been a little dull. And badly-acted. I wonder if he starred as himself?

And, hee. Monster Fun Book.

Heh. Some people stop at nothing.

Hm, malfunctioning parachutes. Now there's a thought. *evil grin*

I am ashamed.
I have chosen 24 hours over Metro.

Because it's easier to turn the pages AND hold onto the bars on the train.

THAT's the important thing for me.

well, if you have to stand up, that's definitely a factor.

One of the nice things about living right at the end (beginning?) of the streetcar line is I always get a seat, so I don't need to worry about this.
