Don't believe the calendar.
Jan. 21st, 2003 07:44 pmIt's still Christmas.
For proof: I got a Christmas card from Julia! From Italy! Extremely cool.
Also: Having finally made it home before the postal outlet in the Pharmaprix closed, I finally picked up Paula's package! Lovely Christmas prezzie (bracelet and box) plus all kinds of very intriguing-looking books. Heee.
So I've already eaten dinner and declined balance insurance on my Visa and listened to my messages (2 wrong numbers, 1 reminder my gym membership is expiring) and finished Time Out of Joint by Philip K. Dick. Was strongly reminded of that rash of "the world is not what you have always believed" movies a few years back:
and I'm probably missing a couple. Funny how that went...
Anyway, now watching month-old Buffy (I'm slow, OK?) and wondering what people do all evening. Gonna have to evolve some sort of plan for that.

Date: 2003-01-22 10:52 am (UTC)So, again:
1) Get to post office before it closes ;).
2) Open parcels glad you like. Hope the bracelet fits ok. Much concern over that. And Heidi was NO help. . . . .
3) Do Hobbies development of hobbies may be necessary, here. is there an indoor arena within range? you could ride!
4) Dodge telemarketers.
5) Cook.
6) Dodge telemarketers some more.
7) Order call display to help with dodging telemarketers.
8) Watch television. Buffy. *SOB* ONLY a month old? *SOB* Buffy. . . even bad Buffy better than no Buffy. And how do I know if it is good or bad unless I see it? *SOB* Oh, wait, this is about you. Not me. *EG*
9) Call Nelson perhaps?
10) Read.
11) Go to bed at a reasonable hour.
12) Have life. :D
Paula
note: Cranky is awfully smart. Like that part about you cleaning your friend's apartments! ;)
Re: what to do. . . .Redux
Date: 2003-01-22 11:12 am (UTC)Have you seen Casa!ELL lately? Scary. Better than it was but SCARY. I no longer even go into the kitchen. It's safer that way. I think her vegetable tray has formed a secret society to take over the butter keeper. It's all very Lord of the Flies in there.
