Although, one of my colleagues at the last place had an awesome jester's hat, so it is possible to find nifty hats for grown-ups. Or you could make your own.
Oh, I've always been gooey for cute baby stuff! The babies to put in them, that's another matter. I feel it's best if they belong to someone else. J and I were saying a few weeks ago that it was lucky there were no babies in our immediate circle, or we'd be bankrupt. This was before the Announcement, of course.
I did cuddle crankygrrl's niece on the weekend, but I think it was generally felt that I (a) did a poor job and (b) gave her up too quickly, after (c) not cooing for long enough when I first met her. Sigh.
ok, I am duly reassured. And see, you and J kharmically ensured that the stars were aligned to facilitate The Announcement.
as for neice cuddling - I understand. When we went to see L's I gave her daughter the lesson on Shaughns when you were here new baby boy in August, I cooed, but I did not even hold him. Mom did, but it just didn't feel right to do so....
the sad thing is, I didn't even have to follow the link. I KNOW what the hats look like....
Which speaks either to a) the over-lengthy amount of time spent looking at the MEC catalogue or b) my desire to buy cute things for other people's kidlets.
I heard about them, strangely enough, from my dad. (I had lunch with him today.) He showed me a newspaper clipping with one. I believe he's off to MEC today to buy a couple for my cousins.
