Dec. 29th, 2004 06:02 pmJust sent my car's info to Car Heaven. I feel a little like a murderess. Must have a proper farewell ceremony before it goes.
For all of you who voted in the poll: thank you very much. Given the events of this week, I went with the Red Cross as my charity of choice, which was in any case one of the front-runners. However, I will be sending off some cheques (well, probably VISA slips, but anyway) to charity in what little of 2004 remains, and the other front-runners will receive due consideration!
Lovely four-day weekend off. My family was wildly generous regarding Christmas prezzies. I made chicken marsala a la
elissa_carey Monday night; I don't think I quite have the touch yet but it was very tasty and I plan to keep working at it until I get it right!
Bought some CDs at Sam's (no longer on sale alas); played two and have got stuck on Genius: The Best of Warren Zevon. It is incredible. It's lucky the office is nearly deserted or my colleagues would by now be very, very sick of Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner. By which you will deduce that I am back at work; got some good outlining done on Rasmussen's encephalitis and childhood and juvenile absence epilepsy, as well as meeting J and J (I need more initials! too many Js in my life! Cousin J and JL, then) for lunch and window-shopping in the Path.
Er, that's it I think. Going to meet
stilldeepwater at 7:30, so I'd better finish puttering and get out of here.
