I still (egads, nearly 20 years on...) remember meeting an American girl my first day of class in Holland. We were all doing the usual where-are-you-from things and she said "Canada? Oh... that's a really big state, isn't it?"

OK, we were 12. And I may have been (was? am?) a tad oversensitive. But still!
My parents currently reside in Ohio. After 7 years, people they've known for that entire time, are still very ignorant when it comes to things like that.
I can't go home - sales guy coming in to try and sell me a printer we don't want at 2:30. I could cancel, but that would delay the inevitable, so I will try to deal with him quickly....
and I was productive this morning, but that has waned greatly since lunch....
HA! We'll just see about that, missy! Next time you want to steal our waterslap tariffs on our softwood lumberplace missiles on our territorybomb our troops uh, import one of our cows... you're going DOWN!
